Lab sample # 03N00942. discontinuous - phpvsfiid 242549; discontinuous - phpvsfiid 242549
Bk1—60 to 98 centimeters (23.6 to 38.6 inches); light yellowish brown (2.5Y 6/4), light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4), moist; sandy clay loam; weak medium subangular blocky structure; moderately hard, friable; 2.0 very fine roots throughout and 1.0 fine roots throughout; 2.0 very fine tubular pores; 2 percent shell fragments in matrix and 4 percent fine carbonate nodules and 4 percent fine carbonate masses; fragments; violent effervescence; moderately alkaline, pH 8.3; abrupt wavy boundary. Lab sample # 03N00943. Along with shell fragments, complete snail shells were described, 2-7mm throughout horizon
Bk2—98 to 132 centimeters (38.6 to 52.0 inches); pale yellow (2.5Y 7/4), light yellowish brown (2.5Y 6/4), moist; sandy clay loam; 23 percent clay; moderate medium subangular blocky structure; slightly hard, friable; 2.0 very fine roots throughout; 2.0 very fine tubular pores; 1 percent fine shell fragments and 4 percent fine carbonate nodules and 8 percent fine carbonate masses; fragments; strong effervescence; moderately alkaline, pH 8.0; abrupt wavy boundary. Lab sample # 03N00944. 5% 2.5y 7/3 dry Cr material described in matrix
