EB—17 to 25 centimeters (6.7 to 9.8 inches); light brownish gray (2.5Y 6/2) and light yellowish brown (2.5Y 6/4), white (10YR 8/1) and brownish yellow (10YR 6/6), dry; Error; weak fine subangular blocky structure; friable; distinct yellow (10YR 7/8), moist, masses of oxidized iron and distinct brownish yellow (10YR 6/8), moist, masses of oxidized iron; fragments; very strongly acid, pH 4.8; gradual boundary. Lab sample # OSU0000070. Roots primarily have horizontal orientation. Upper 8 inches of profile contains some large rounded dark brown sandstone pebbles that are streaked with black.
