    Ap—0 to 15 centimeters (0.0 to 5.9 inches); dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2) and grayish brown (10YR 5/2) Error; weak fine granular structure; friable; fragments; abrupt smooth boundary. Lab sample # OSU0004953. Slightly plastic but not sticky when wet. Contains a number of quartz pebbles 0.25 to 0.50 inches in diameter and also sandstone fragments.
    E—17 to 20 centimeters (6.7 to 7.9 inches); light brownish gray (10YR 6/2) and pale brown (10YR 6/3) Error; weak platy structure; friable; 33 percent medium distinct yellowish brown (10YR 5/4), moist, masses of oxidized iron and 33 percent medium distinct strong brown (7.5YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron; fragments; clear wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0004954. Slightly plastic but not sticky when wet. The Ap horizon follows down earthworm holes locally.
