B1—20 to 36 centimeters (7.9 to 14.2 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) Error; weak, and weak subangular blocky structure; firm; 33 percent fine faint grayish brown (10YR 5/2), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0005411. Coarse subangular blocky structure breaks to very fine or fine angular blocky structure. Sticky and plastic when wet. Very hard when dry. Sampled at 10-13 inches.
B2—36 to 51 centimeters (14.2 to 20.1 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) Error; moderate, and subangular blocky structure; firm; 1 percent fine faint grayish brown (10YR 5/2), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0005412. Medium subangular blocky structure grades to fine angular blocky structure. Sticky and very plastic when wet. Very hard when dry. Sampled at 16-18 inches.
B3—51 to 76 centimeters (20.1 to 29.9 inches); dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) Error; moderate, and weak subangular blocky structure; firm; 33 percent fine faint grayish brown (10YR 5/2), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0005413. Coarse subangular blocky structure grades to weak fine angular blocky structure. Sticky and very plastic when wet. Extremely hard when dry. Sampled at 27-30 inches.
C1—76 to 102 centimeters (29.9 to 40.2 inches); grayish brown (10YR 5/2) Error; 33 percent fine distinct yellowish brown (10YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0005414. Laminated layers of silt loam and silty clay with small amounts of fine sand present. The boundary of effervesence is diffuse from 26 to 33 inches. Numerous soft limestone pebbles present.
