    A—0 to 8 centimeters (0.0 to 3.1 inches); very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) Error; granular structure; friable; fragments; abrupt boundary. Lab sample # OSU0006241. Many roots in upper 1.5 inches but fewer in lower 1.5 inches.
    E—8 to 18 centimeters (3.1 to 7.1 inches); pale brown (10YR 6/3) Error; medium platy, and subangular blocky structure; 11 percent brownish yellow (10YR 6/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron; fragments; clear boundary. Lab sample # OSU0006242. Mottles occur in lower part of horizon.
