Ap—0 to 20 centimeters (0.0 to 7.9 inches); dark gray (10YR 4/1) Error; granular structure; friable; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0006265
BA—20 to 28 centimeters (7.9 to 11.0 inches); brown (10YR 4/3) and yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) Error; 11 percent light brownish gray (10YR 6/2), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; clear boundary. Lab sample # OSU0006266
B1—28 to 38 centimeters (11.0 to 15.0 inches); dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) Error; coarse prismatic, and angular blocky structure; distinct clay films; 11 percent gray (10YR 6/1), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; gradual boundary. Lab sample # OSU0006267. The pan in the next horizon below extended into this sample on one side.
Bm2—38 to 48 centimeters (15.0 to 18.9 inches); dark brown (10YR 3/3) Error; weak angular blocky structure; prominent olive gray (5Y 5/2), moist, clay films; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0006268. Vertical facings about 3 to 5 inches apart. Roots few except in major cracks.
Bm3—48 to 64 centimeters (18.9 to 25.2 inches); brown (10YR 4/3) Error; weak angular blocky structure; prominent olive gray (5Y 5/2), moist, clay films; 11 percent light brownish gray (2.5Y 6/2), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0006269
B4—64 to 74 centimeters (25.2 to 29.1 inches); dark yellowish brown (10YR 3/4) Error; coarse subangular blocky, and angular blocky structure; 11 percent grayish brown (10YR 5/2), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; clear boundary. Lab sample # OSU0006270. Upper part is massive (panlike) but majority breaks into blocky structure.
C1—74 to 84 centimeters (29.1 to 33.1 inches); brown (10YR 4/3) and yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) Error; fine and medium angular blocky structure; 11 percent gray (5Y 5/1), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; slight effervescence. Lab sample # OSU0006271. Calcareous till extended to 36 inches depth where fine sandy clay loam appeared in an abrupt boundary.
C2—91 to 104 centimeters (35.8 to 40.9 inches); brown (7.5YR 4/2) and yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) Error; gray (2.5Y 6/1), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0006272. Mottles are clay loam. Somewhat laminated but not continuous.
C3—127 to 140 centimeters (50.0 to 55.1 inches); brown (10YR 5/3) Error; 1 percent light gray (5Y 7/1), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; slight effervescence. Lab sample # OSU0006273. Mottles are silty. Encountered some stone fragments at 64 inches.
C4—173 to 183 centimeters (68.1 to 72.0 inches); brown (10YR 4/3) Error; fragments. Lab sample # OSU0006274. Probably partly sorted till. Some rounded and some sharp stone fragments. At 75 inches, material is again fine sandy loam.
