    Ab1—0 to 10 centimeters (0.0 to 3.9 inches); very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) Error; weak very fine granular structure; friable; fragments; strongly acid, pH 5.2; abrupt smooth boundary. Lab sample # OSU0008387. This sample was removed from a 3-ft. depth where the A1 is buried intact beneath a gravelly glacial outwash soil. This sample occurred about 10 ft. from CO-086, which is the same buried soil, but naturally exhumed.
