A—1 to 4 centimeters (0.4 to 1.6 inches); very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2), gray (10YR 5/1) and gray (10YR 6/1), dry; Error; weak medium granular structure; friable; 22 percent by volume nonflat indurated unspecified fragments; extremely acid, pH 4.2; abrupt wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0007261. High in organic matter. Coarse skeleton consists of sandstone fragments up to 2 inches across.
E—4 to 24 centimeters (1.6 to 9.4 inches); light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4), light gray (10YR 7/2) and very pale brown (10YR 7/3), dry; Error; weak coarse granular, and weak subangular blocky structure; friable; 22 percent by volume nonflat indurated unspecified fragments; very strongly acid, pH 4.5; gradual boundary. Lab sample # OSU0007262. The upper 4 inches is noticeably more friable than the lower part.

Lab sample # OSU0007264. Coarse skeleton has some stones up to 5 inches across.
B2—52 to 72 centimeters (20.5 to 28.3 inches); strong brown (7.5YR 5/6), yellow (10YR 7/6) and strong brown (7.5YR 5/6), dry; Error; moderate medium subangular blocky structure; firm; 55 percent by volume nonflat indurated unspecified fragments; very strongly acid, pH 4.7. Lab sample # OSU0007265
