Lab sample # OSU0007146
C1—58 to 79 centimeters (22.8 to 31.1 inches); grayish brown (10YR 5/2) and dark gray (10YR 4/1) Error; massive; friable; 33 percent coarse prominent yellowish brown (10YR 5/4), moist, masses of oxidized iron and 33 percent coarse prominent yellowish brown (10YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron; carbonate concretions; fragments; slight effervescence; gradual boundary. Lab sample # OSU0007147. A few shells were noted.
C2—79 to 97 centimeters (31.1 to 38.2 inches); grayish brown (10YR 5/2) Error; massive; friable; 33 percent coarse prominent yellowish brown (10YR 5/4), moist, masses of oxidized iron and 33 percent coarse prominent yellowish brown (10YR 5/6), moist, masses of oxidized iron; fragments; slight effervescence; gradual boundary. C4—112 to 127 centimeters (44.1 to 50.0 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) Error; 10YR 2 (10YR2) mottles; massive; friable; fragments; slight effervescence; gradual boundary. Lab sample # OSU0007150. Mottled streaks with pattern many, coarse prominent. Occasional till pebbles.
C5—152 to 165 centimeters (59.8 to 65.0 inches); brown (10YR 4/3) Error; fragments; slight effervescence. Lab sample # OSU0007151. Till. Contact of this material appeared to be about 55 inches in depth from surface. The layer between 50 and 60 inches depth was not sampled due to water table, but presumed to be transitional between the overlying silts and the underlying till.
