Ap—0 to 15 centimeters (0.0 to 5.9 inches); brown (10YR 4/3), pale brown (10YR 6/3), dry; Error; weak subangular blocky structure; friable; fragments; slightly acid, pH 6.2; abrupt smooth boundary. Lab sample # OSU0009991. A weak, fine to medium, platy structure was observed in the top 2 inches. The Ap was very dry. It appeared cemented in place - almost like a fragipan. Upon wetting it became friable.
E—15 to 23 centimeters (5.9 to 9.1 inches); brown (7.5YR 4/4) Error; weak fine and medium subangular blocky structure; friable; yellowish brown (10YR 5/4), moist, skeletans; fragments; slightly acid, pH 6.4; clear smooth boundary. Lab sample # OSU0009992
BE—23 to 30 centimeters (9.1 to 11.8 inches); brown (7.5YR 4/4) Error; moderate fine and medium subangular blocky structure; friable; fragments; neutral, pH 6.6; clear smooth boundary. Lab sample # OSU0009993
B1—30 to 51 centimeters (11.8 to 20.1 inches); brown (7.5YR 4/4) Error; friable; clay films; fragments; neutral, pH 6.8; clear smooth boundary. Lab sample # OSU0009994. Few igneous pebbles up to 0.5 inches in diameter.; discontinuous - phpvsfiid 976824; discontinuous - phpvsfiid 976824
B2—51 to 69 centimeters (20.1 to 27.2 inches); dark reddish brown (5YR 3/4) and dark brown (7.5YR 3/2) Error; weak subangular blocky structure; friable; clay films; fragments; neutral, pH 6.8; clear smooth boundary.
