Ap—0 to 18 centimeters (0.0 to 7.1 inches); brown (10YR 5/3) Error; coarse granular structure; friable; 11 percent medium distinct pale brown (10YR 6/3), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; strongly acid, pH 5.2; abrupt wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0013639. Soft when dry. Many fine pores. Upper 1/2 to 1 inch is 10YR 6/2 6/1 with very weak medium platy structure. Mottles appear to be due to degradation processes.
E—18 to 30 centimeters (7.1 to 11.8 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) Error; weak platy, and weak subangular blocky structure; very friable; 65 percent light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4), moist, silt coats; fine and medium distinct light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; strongly acid, pH 5.2; gradual wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0013640. Slightly hard when dry. Many fine pores. Patches appear to be very thin clay film remnants. Mottles appear to be due to degradation processes.
BE—30 to 46 centimeters (11.8 to 18.1 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) Error; moderate medium subangular blocky structure; firm; light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4), moist, silt coats; 33 percent fine and medium distinct light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; strongly acid, pH 5.2; clear wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0013641. Slightly sticky and slightly plastic when wet; slightly hard when dry. Fine pores common. Occasional patches appear to be very thin clay film remnants. Mottles appear to be due to degradation processes.
Bt1—46 to 61 centimeters (18.1 to 24.0 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) Error; weak fine and medium prismatic, and moderate subangular blocky structure; friable; faint dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4), moist, clay films; fragments; moderately acid, pH 5.6; clear wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0013642. Horizon designated as B1A2. Slightly sticky and slightly plastic when wet; slightly hard when dry.; patchy - phpvsfiid 977887; patchy - phpvsfiid 977887

Lab sample # OSU0013643. Sticky and plastic when wet. Occasional, prominent, vertical and diagonally oriented cracks, the surfaces of which appear to have thick 10YR 5/4 clay flows but with grooved markings characteristic of slickensides.
2Bt3—89 to 114 centimeters (35.0 to 44.9 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) Error; weak very fine and fine angular blocky structure; very firm; 1 percent fine distinct pale yellow (2.5Y 7/4), moist, masses of reduced iron and 10 percent medium distinct 10YR (10YR), moist, iron-manganese nodules; fragments; slightly acid, pH 6.4. Lab sample # OSU0013644. Sticky and plastic when wet. Occasional, prominent, vertical and diagonally oriented cracks. the surfaces of which appear to have thick 10YR 5/6 clay flows but with the grooved markings characteristic of slickensides.
