Ap—0 to 15 centimeters (0.0 to 5.9 inches); olive brown (2.5Y 4/4) and dark grayish brown (2.5Y 4/2) Error; moderate medium and coarse subangular blocky structure; friable; fragments; neutral, pH 7.0; clear wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0015146. Structure has very weak prismatic orientation continuing upward from the underlying horizon; surface inch grades to weak, medium granular. Slightly sticky and slightly plastic when wet. Estimated permeability moderate.
Bt1—15 to 30 centimeters (5.9 to 11.8 inches); dark grayish brown (2.5Y 4/2) and light yellowish brown (2.5Y 6/4) and light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4) Error; moderate medium prismatic structure; firm; 2 percent by volume nonflat indurated unspecified fragments; slightly alkaline, pH 7.4; clear wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0015147. Slightly sticky and plastic when wet. Estimated permeability moderately slow. Coarse fragments are limestone.
Bt2—30 to 43 centimeters (11.8 to 16.9 inches); light gray (N 7/), and olive yellow (2.5Y 6/6) and grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) Error; weak medium and coarse prismatic structure; firm; 2 percent by volume nonflat indurated unspecified fragments; slightly alkaline, pH 7.4; gradual wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0015148. Slightly sticky and plastic when wet. Estimated permeability moderately slow to slow. Calcareous in pockets which increase in frequency with depth.
