    Ap—0 to 18 centimeters (0.0 to 7.1 inches); very dark brown (10YR 2/2), dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2), dry; silt loam; moderate fine granular, and moderate medium granular structure; soft, very friable, moderately sticky; fragments; abrupt smooth boundary. Lab sample # NDSU1602. The Ap is cloddy on surface. The Ap and Bw are neutral. The BK, C1, C2, and Cr are moderately alkaline.
