    Oi—0 to 2 centimeters (0.0 to 0.8 inches); undecomposed organic matter; fragments. Not sampled. Loose dry leaves and grass. 10% gravel.
    Ap1—2 to 12 centimeters (0.8 to 4.7 inches); dark reddish brown (5YR 3/4) interior very gravelly clay loam; weak very fine subangular blocky, and weak very fine granular structure; loose, very friable, slightly sticky, slightly plastic; 5.5 very fine and fine roots and 2.5 medium roots; 2.5 very fine tubular and 5.5 very fine interstitial pores; fragments; clear smooth boundary. Lab sample # 84P01108. Few coarse roots. About 45% irregular limestone gravel.; many very fine and fine roots; common medium roots
    Ap2—12 to 22 centimeters (4.7 to 8.7 inches); very gravelly clay loam; fragments. Lab sample # 84P01109. Identical to Ap1 except for a decrease in medium and coarse roots. Separated for sampling purposes.
    C1—22 to 32 centimeters (8.7 to 12.6 inches); yellowish red (5YR 5/6) interior very gravelly clay loam; weak very fine granular structure; loose, very friable, slightly sticky, slightly plastic; fragments; abrupt wavy boundary. Lab sample # 84P01110. About 50% limestone gravel mostly fine. Horizon occcurs as a pocket 15 cm across in the surface of the limestone.
