    O—19 to 0 centimeters (7.5 to 0.0 inches); black (N 2/0) peat; loose; fragments; abrupt smooth boundary.; dry when described;. Soils were sampled for laboratory analysis in 15cm increments. Profile was dry to surface when sampled. Coarse fragments <1%. KCI extractable iron tests were performed on the 0-15 and 45-60cm increments. Both tested negative. Salt crust was present and was sampled. XRD analysis determined gypsum.
