Lab sample # 99P01197. loose; scattered white (10YR 9/2) pumice grains, mostly medium, coarse, and very coarse sand size, and few grains up to about 5mm diameter; scattered fine pebbles; some grains carbonate-coated; a few fine irregular cemented zones; mostly noncalcareous.

Ck2—391 to 401 centimeters (153.9 to 157.9 inches); very pale brown (10YR 8/2), light brownish gray (10YR 6/2), moist; sand; strong very coarse platy structure; extremely hard, very firm; fragments; strong effervescence; clear wavy boundary. (indurated parts); indurated material; indurated, elongated and rounded nodular forms that tend to be flattish, range from 3 to 10 cm across, 2 to 5 cm thick, and 5 to 25 cm long; in places, indurated plates, 1-5 cm thick, and 20 to 30 cm wide, form the top of the horizon; these plates and nodular forms occupy about 20% of the horizon.
