Lab sample # 40A37743. structure with clay skins somewhat more distinctive than in the B1 horizon.
B2m1—56 to 64 centimeters (22.0 to 25.2 inches); light olive brown (2.5Y 5/4) and grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) silt loam; 1 percent yellowish brown (10YR 5/6) fine prominent and 21 percent gray (2.5Y 6/1) medium distinct mottles; weak medium platy structure; very firm; fragments; clear smooth boundary. Lab sample # 40A37744. the peds are very brittle; about 30 percent of the mass consists of subangular chert fragments of .5 centimeter average diameter. This horizon is 2 to 9 inches wide and extends in streaks into the B2m2 and B3 horizons to depth of 40 inches. The streaks are about 15 inches apart.
B2m2—64 to 79 centimeters (25.2 to 31.1 inches); grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) and light brownish gray (2.5Y 6/2) silt loam; 3 percent yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) distinct mottles; weak and moderate coarse platy structure; firm; brittle; prominent dark yellowish brown (10YR 3/4) clay films; fragments; abrupt wavy boundary.
