    Ap—0 to 13 centimeters (0.0 to 5.1 inches); grayish brown (10YR 5/2), very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2), moist; clay loam; moderate very fine granular structure; slightly hard, friable, slightly sticky, slightly plastic; fragments; slight effervescence; abrupt boundary. Lab sample # 40A25979. Common balls of dark grayish-brown (10YR 4/2) remnants of B2 horizon as large as 3/8 inch diameter.
