    A2—0 to 3 centimeters (0.0 to 1.2 inches); light brownish gray (10YR 6/2), very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2), moist; loam; moderate very fine platy structure; soft, very friable, nonsticky, slightly plastic; 21.0 tubular pores; fragments; noneffervescent; abrupt boundary. Lab sample # 40A28049. the surface of the plates are completely coated with clear unstained mineral grains; there are many tubular and closed pores.
    B&A—3 to 5 centimeters (1.2 to 2.0 inches); light brownish gray (10YR 6/2), very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2), moist; silty clay; strong medium platy structure; hard when dry, friable, moderately sticky, moderately plastic; 21.0 tubular pores; coats; fragments; noneffervescent; clear boundary.
