A2—33 to 61 centimeters (13.0 to 24.0 inches); grayish brown (10YR 5/2) broken face, very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2) broken face, moist; ashy sandy loam; 10 percent clay; single grain; loose, very friable, nonsticky, nonplastic; 1 percent by volume nonflat subrounded 2-40-75 millimeter pumice fragments observed by visual inspection method. Lab sample # 20N00075; observed in pit, small. at 33cm there is a band of pumice 1-2cm thick (gravels) w/ very little matrix. It sits on top of the A2 horizon. Almost no pumice gravels in A2 horizon.
