  • VEGETATION

  • Vegplot Text Note(s): Site location of Pedon S2015NJ029024 is near the Barnegat Bay Partnership Set 1 location which is on Long Beach State Park 50 feet from Barnegat Bay, 30 feet from an osprey nest, in front of pond. The site has extensive historical ditching, probably conducted by the Civialian Conservation Corps (CCC). Where the vegetation consisiting of saltmarsh grass (Spartina alterniflora) and Glasswort (Salicornia sp.) is, the water level is 11 cm above the soil surface.; NASIS Site Name (MLRA03_Raleigh) and NASIS Group Name (3-HAM Hammonton, NJ MSSO) was transferred to (MLRA12_Amherst) and (NE-HAM Hammonton, NJ MSSO) respectively to align with the new USDA-NRCS SPSD Regional Office boundaries. The MLRA12-Amherst NASIS Site will eventually be renamed as the Northeast NASIS Site.
