    Ap—0 to 20 centimeters (0.0 to 7.9 inches); dark grayish brown (2.5Y 4/2) and dark gray (5Y 4/1), light gray (2.5Y 7/2), dry; Error; firm; 11 percent coarse distinct dark reddish brown (5YR 3/3), moist, masses of oxidized iron; fragments; abrupt smooth boundary. Lab sample # OSU0004977. The dark gray (5Y 4/1) material appears to be an old subplow layer that has recently been plowed and mixed into the Ap horizon.
