    Oe—0 to 1 centimeters (0.0 to 0.4 inches); very dark gray (10YR 3/1); fragments. Decomposed litter of matter mor type. Not sampled.
    A—1 to 4 centimeters (0.4 to 1.6 inches); very dark grayish brown (10YR 3/2), gray (10YR 5/1) and gray (10YR 6/1), dry; Error; weak medium granular structure; friable; 22 percent by volume nonflat indurated unspecified fragments; extremely acid, pH 4.2; abrupt wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0007261. High in organic matter. Coarse skeleton consists of sandstone fragments up to 2 inches across.
    E—4 to 24 centimeters (1.6 to 9.4 inches); light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4), light gray (10YR 7/2) and very pale brown (10YR 7/3), dry; Error; weak coarse granular, and weak subangular blocky structure; friable; 22 percent by volume nonflat indurated unspecified fragments; very strongly acid, pH 4.5; gradual boundary.
