Lab sample # OSU0019609. Few Fe-Mn stains in ped interiors.
Bx2—76 to 91 centimeters (29.9 to 35.8 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) and light brownish gray (2.5Y 6/2) and grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) Error; weak prismatic, and platy structure; firm; brittle; 11 percent medium prominent gray (5Y 5/1), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; moderately acid, pH 6.0. Lab sample # OSU0019610
Bx3—91 to 107 centimeters (35.8 to 42.1 inches); grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) and yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) and light brownish gray (2.5Y 6/2) Error; platy, and weak prismatic structure; firm; brittle; 11 percent medium prominent gray (5Y 5/1), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; moderately acid, pH 6.0; gradual wavy boundary. BC—107 to 132 centimeters (42.1 to 52.0 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) and light brownish gray (2.5Y 6/2) and grayish brown (2.5Y 5/2) Error; weak prismatic, and weak platy structure; firm; distinct yellowish brown (10YR 5/8), moist, masses of oxidized iron and 10 percent yellowish brown (10YR 5/8), moist, iron-manganese concretions and 11 percent medium prominent gray (5Y 5/1), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; slightly acid, pH 6.5; gradual wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0019612. The number and thickness of the vertical seams are less than in the overlying fragipan horizons.
C—132 to 152 centimeters (52.0 to 59.8 inches); brown (10YR 5/3) Error; weak medium platy structure; firm; coarse strong brown (7.5YR 5/8), moist, masses of oxidized iron and 11 percent medium prominent gray (5Y 5/1), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; neutral, pH 7.0; gradual wavy boundary. Lab sample # OSU0019613. The strong brown (7.5YR 5/8) mottles have a circular concretionary-like appearance. Note: Observations of air dry peds from all horizons with a stereomicroscope showed no evidence of clay movement. The gray prism surfaces and seams in the fragipan look
