  • Site Text Note(s): MISCELLANEOUS NOTES - SOBRANTE SANDY LOAM 54-CA-17-02lX Location: Lake County, California; S.1, T.l3N, R.10W, MMD. Described by: RAG, FCR. Date Sampled: 08/54. Classification: Fine-loamy, mixed, thermic Mollic Haploxeralf. Vegetation: Grasses and Blue oak. Climate: The precipitation is 30 inches per year. Mean annual temperature is 60 deg. F, with Jan. mean of 41 deg., F, and July mean of 75 deg. F. Parent Material: Basalt. Topography: This soil occurred at an elevation of 1700 feet, on a hilly, well rounded slope of steep relief (40% slope) with an east aspect. This soil has moderate permeability, is well drained and has slight erosion. Comment: Some roots throughout, mostly in the Blt, few in the B2t.
