Aggregates nearly covered with dark brown spots and splotches, lightly gray-coated; penetrated by occasional tongues of dark brown, crushing with moderate resistance to yellowish brown.
D—86 to 97 centimeters (33.9 to 38.2 inches); fragments. Lab sample # 40A33770. Same as 30-34 inch layer except that blocks are a little larger, gray coating is a little more pronounced, and no dark brown tongues were noted. Fibrous roots abundant in crevices.
D—97 to 107 centimeters (38.2 to 42.1 inches); dark yellowish brown (10YR 4/4) silty clay loam; massive, and coarse angular blocky; fragments. Lab sample # 40A33771. dark brown specks on surface of blocks, occasional tongues of gray silty material; aggregates crush with strong resistance to light to moderate yellowish brown. Roots abundant.
D—107 to 117 centimeters (42.1 to 46.1 inches); light yellowish brown (10YR 6/4) silty clay loam; massive; fragments. Lab sample # 40A33772. irregular streaks and coating of gray and dark yellowish brown to moderate brown; dark brown specks common. Fibrous roots fairly abundant.
D—117 to 127 centimeters (46.1 to 50.0 inches); yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) silty clay loam; massive; fragments. Lab sample # 40A33773. some cleavage planes, irregularly coated with moderate to dark yellowish brown and spotted with gray and dark brown. Crushes with moderate resistance to light yellowish brown.
D—127 to 137 centimeters (50.0 to 53.9 inches); fragments. Lab sample # 40A33774. Same as 46-50 inch layer except that fragments crush with strong resistance to light to moderate yellowish brown.
