    B1—22 to 38 centimeters (8.7 to 15.0 inches); dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2) and yellowish brown (10YR 5/4) clay loam; very fine angular blocky, and subangular blocky structure; 7.0 roots; fine distinct dark grayish brown (10YR 4/2), moist, masses of reduced iron and brown (10YR 5/3), moist, masses of reduced iron; fragments; gradual smooth boundary. Lab sample # OSU0004372. Peds are so fine and covered so completely that color appears to be 10YR 3/1 with many, fine, distinct 10YR 4/2 and 5/4 mottles. Moderate organic content.
