List of NASIS to Staging Fatal Errors

Errors in bold were added in May of 2022

  1. Legends that do not use a NSSC Pangaea Non-MLRA Soil Survey Area areas symbol in the legend table.
  2. Legends that do not have a "State or Territory" populated in the Legend Area Overlap table.
  3. Legends that do not have a valid "County or Parish" in the Legend Area Overlap table. The first two characters of each "County or Parish" symbols must match at least one State symbol.
  4. Legends that do not have a valid "State" in the Legend Area Overlap table. The State symbol must match the first two characters of at least one "County or Parish" symbols.
  5. Legends that have either a NULL geographic applicability or a geographic applicability not equal to "current wherever mapped".
  6. Legends with a NULL project scale in the legend table.
  7. Legends that use a musym more than once in the Legend Mapunit table.
  8. Legends that use a unique datamapunit as representative more than once in the correlation table.
  9. Legends that have a unique ESD ID which is used with more than one unique ESD name.
  10. Legend mapunits that have a NOTCOM musym which is not capitalized.
  11. Legend mapunits that have a NOTCOM musym but are not linked to the correct national NOTCOM map unit.
  12. Legend mapunits that use the national NOTCOM map unit but do not have a NOTCOM musym.
  13. Mapunits with a NULL map unit name.
  14. Mapunits that do have a single datamapunit flagged as representative in the Correlation table. Looks for instances of more than one representative datamapunit or no representative datamapunit.
  15. Datamapunits that have a sum of RV component percentages greater than 100%.
  16. Datamapunits that do not have any component records.
  17. Components that have a NULL component name.
  18. Components that are flagged as major but have a RV component percent less than 10 or have a NULL RV component percent.
  19. Components that either do not have all 12 months populated in the component month table or do not have an empty component month table. Must either have all 12 months or no records in the component month table.
  20. Components that do not have a record in the Component Text table, with "nontechnical description" populated in the Kind column.
  21. Components that have a NULL value in the Component Text table Category column when the Component Text kind column is populated with "nontechnical description".
  22. Components that have a duplication of both the horizon top and bottom RV depth. For example, a soil with an A horizon depth of 0 - 10 cm and Bt horizon depth of 0 - 10 cm would be an error.
  23. Components that have a NULL horizon RV top or bottom depth.
  24. Components with horizon top and bottom RV depths that have gaps or overlaps.
